Jupiter Defeats Jensen Beach 15-4

Jupiter opened the scoring with a 4-0 run in the first quarter. The first goal was unassisted by James Holdt, followed by a goal by Zach Crotty assisted by Daniel Soviero. Peter Cox scored next with an assist by Zach Crotty and then Davis Yates scored a goal, assisted by Jesse Foertmeyer. In the second quarter, Cameron Wadsworth had an unassisted goal for Jensen Beach, bringing the score to 4-1. Ben Yetman of Jupiter answered with a quick goal assisted by Zach Crotty. Jensen Beach’s James McKinney scored next, unassisted, followed by a Jupiter goal by Peter Cox, also unassisted. The quarter closed with a Jupiter goal by Kevin Fallon assisted by Jesse Foertmeyer with 21 seconds left, followed by a Jensen Beach goal by James McKinney with 14 seconds left. At halftime the score was 7-3 in favor of Jupiter. Zach Crotty of Jupiter opened the scoring in the third quarter assisted by Jesse Foertmeyer. Jensen Beach answered quickly with an unassisted goal by Jared Welsh. The rest of the quarter was all Jupiter, with a goal by Craig Coughlin assisted by Daniel Soviero, a goal by Daniel Soviero assisted by Jesse Foertmeyer, a goal by Jake Steiger assisted by Jesse Foertmeyer, a goal by Lars Coughlin assisted by Zach Crotty and an unassisted goal by Davis Yates. In the fourth quarter, Jupiter LSM Shane Bogue scored a goal unassisted, followed by the final goal of the game by Jupiter’s Austin Starts with an assist by Shane Bogue. On defense for Jupiter, Shane Bogue had 5 ground balls and 3 takeaways, Connor Alexander had 4 ground balls and 3 takeaways and Ben White had 4 ground balls and 1 takeaway. Jake Lolmaugh had a great night facing off for Jupiter with 7 wins and 2 losses. On the Jensen Beach side, Wyatt Weiseman had 10 wins and 6 losses. Both teams play next on Friday March 8, as Jupiter travels to Boca Raton and Jensen Beach has a road game against Pope John Paul.
