Lynn’s Jerhoff Earns First SSC Lacrosse Weekly Honors

thanks to Olivia Coiro, Assistant Director Athletic Communications – Lynn University for this press release   BOCA RATON, Fla.- Lynn University lacrosse redshirt freshman Austin Jerhoff earned Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This marks the fourth SSC weekly honor this season for men’s lacrosse.

The Calgary, Canada, native was named the Offensive Player of the Week following the Blue & White’s 12-10 victory over Saint Leo on Saturday night. Lynn’s first home conference win in program history secured the first-ever playoff berth for the Fighting Knights. Jerhoff tallied two goals on three shots, including the game-winner, bringing his season total to 32 goals. He currently leads the team in assists with 17 to rank second on team in points with 49. Jerhoff joins the ranks of teammates Anthony Rainone and Shaun McDonald who previously won SSC honors this season. Rainone is the only repeat honoree in program history. Lynn will take on Tampa on Friday night in the first round of the SSC Tournament at 8 pm. The Spartans earned the top-seed in the tournament after finishing the regular season undefeated, 5-0, in conference play. Lynn earned the #4 seed with a 2-3 record.
