A first-year starter in the cage, Forrest had 12 saves against Hendrix on Friday in Piedmont’s 2015 season opener playing all 60 minutes in her first collegiate start.  The sophomore allowed just four goals in the 18-4 win over the Warriors to earn her first USA South weekly honor. Forrest leads the league in fewest goals allowed, goals against average, and save percentage as well. Piedmont is currently 1-0 on the season after the win over Hendrix three days ago and will have a chance to move to 2-0 should the Lady Lions win tomorrow in their next action hosting in-state foe Oglethorpe University at Walker Athletic Complex. Last season, PC defeated OU by a 21-2 score also playing the Stormy Petrels in the second game of the season.  The opening draw in the February 24 contest is set for 4:00 pm.
