Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
NXTsports’ Showcase Lacrosse division is excited to announce the launch of the inaugural Southern Showcase on Sunday, Nov. 1 at Mercer University in Macon (Ga.). The Southern Showcase is a premier one-day individual recruiting event featuring the South’s best lacrosse players in graduation years 2017-2019. It joins Showcase Lacrosse’s growing list of recruiting showcases that have consistently tabbed as the country’s best recruiting events. Every team will be coached by Division I coaches with all games being played at Mercer’s lavish, state-of-the-art facilities. The top 40 players will be selected for the Fab 40 All-Star Game and there will be a King of the X tournament for all faceoff specialists. “We held the first Southern Showcase Camp at Mercer in June and we were blown away by how much talent was in attendance,” Director of Showcase Lacrosse Brett Manney said. “We had players like Neal Brown and Eric Overbay make the Fab 40 All-Star Game and then commit to Johns Hopkins and Villanova, respectively, so we know that talent in the South is on a major upswing. We want to offer the South’s best players the best exposure possible and the Southern Showcase allows us to do that.” Want to be part of the first Southern Showcase?
