Ponte Vedra Gets to 2-0 With Win over MCC
Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in Uncategorized.
The Ponte Vedra High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team outmanned a good opponent last night from Melbourne Central Catholic School, winning 19-6 at home. The Shark’s offense proved too potent, with Miles Silva firing five goals followed by three each for Rob Peeters and Logan Taucher. Attackman Reid Smith created plenty of opportunity with four assists on the night in addition to a goal. The defense held strong with freshman goalie Wyatt Schupler and senior goalie Colin Peaks each saving three shots. Melbourne’s Michael Hopkins led his team with three of the six goals scored.
PV travels to Winter Park (0-0) tonight, a game we’ll be attending. MCC (0-1) plays Westshore (0-0) on Friday.
