Forty lacrosse teams converged on the Indian Trails Sports Complex over the weekend for the Great Pumpkin Shoot Out. They were treated to perfect weather and some great lacrosse in a fast and furious 7v7 format.  The format provided a basket-ball style transition game along with some wide open high speed 4 on 4 settled offensive action.  Most of the games were very fast paced with lots of scoring. In the U-19 division the Ponte Vedra Possums defeated the JM31 team from Hagerty 20-11.  JM31 is named in memory of John McCarthy.  John was the long time director of the Jokers lacrosse club who passed away in July.  His oldest son Jake attends Hagerty HS and plays on the JM31 team. The Tampa Sand Sharks outlasted the Oviedo Pride for the U17 championship.  The U15 Ponte Vedra Possums came out on top of Braveheart Lacrosse Club and Jeff Goldberg’s Snipers beat the Panthers for the U13 championship.
