Mocs to Host FSC Citrus 99 Camp in December

LAKELAND – Florida Southern Men’s Lacrosse head coach Marty Ward has announced that his program is conducting the Florida Southern Citrus 99 camp on Dec. 15-16 on the FSC campus.

The two-day camp will be an organized NCAA Division II practice that will be conducted by the Moccasins Lacrosse staff. The Florida Southern Citrus 99 is designed for lacrosse athletes will be graduating high school in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Ward said that the camp will have two price brackets on the cost of the camp as the price for commuters will be $190, while anyone wanting to stay overnight, which includes a hotel, the price will be $250. All campers receive skill instruction, a t-shirt, access to swimming on Saturday and lunch both days. Overnight campers will receive dinner Saturday night and will be provided with a hotel room at the Terrace Hotel in downtown Lakeland (5 minutes from FSC campus). There will be two athletes/campers placed in each room and there will be coaches present in the hotel. Additionally, Ward said that for an extra fee of $25, a shuttle service will be available from the Tampa International Airport, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday Dec. 14 with a return shuttle leaving the camp on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 12 p.m.

All participants in the camp will be required to bring all gear and equipment; sticks, helmets, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, cleats and mouth guards. Deadline to sign up for the Florida Southern Citrus 99 will be Dec. 3.
