Rachelle Serafini is officially signed to be a division 1 lacrosse player at Iona college in New Rochelle, NY. Rachelle is a natural-born athlete having participated in gymnastics, cheer leading, and many other sports in her early age. She picked up a lacrosse stick in 8th grade and ran with it! In her first high school season, she made varsity as a starter and is now leading by example as a senior at St.Thomas Aquinas. Her north and south speed is something to be envied by any athlete and her dedication has landed her in the perfect spot to thrive at Iona. Rachelle intends on majoring in Business at Iona and will not only make a mark in the classroom, but also on the field. Rachelle has been coached by Trey Burlingame and Sarah Burlingame at her club team Lax Maniax, and Troy Millican and Mark Geddis at her high school.  Rachelle  received all-district, all- county, and all-league awards last year. “Rachelle is a great athlete and makes a big difference at games and practices. She’s always got a positive attitude and is looked up to by many of her team mates including me” -Christina Wittmeier, senior, Aquinas and Maniax team mate ” Rachelle is not only one of my good friends but also an outstanding lacrosse player. She’s fast, determined, dedicated, and fully committed to the team. I believe she will do great things at Iona and I can’t wait to see her grow even further.”-Maryann Skubal, junior, Aquinas team mate “Rachelle is a great all-around athlete and person. It has been a great experience coaching her and I can’t wait to coach her one last time this upcoming season.
