Southern Express Girl’s Lacrosse to Debut in Polk County

The Central Florida Lacrosse Academy is proud to announce the addition of the Southern Express girl’s lacrosse team for the fall of 2013.  This team will be a developmental Girl’s lacrosse program that is the first of its kind in Polk County. Central Florida Lacrosse Academy will now have an option for girls that want to play lacrosse in Polk County!  The club director is Aricka Ward, who is an established girl’s lacrosse coach with 5+ years’ experience coaching select travel teams, High School, and College lacrosse.  Aricka played four years of Attack at Division II powerhouse Limestone College where she played in 4 conference championships and two final fours.  Coach Ward was the first player from South Carolina to play lacrosse at the NCAA level.   This team will be open to all High School and U-13 players and will compete in the two HS tourneys this fall.  Aricka Ward is the wife of Florida Southern Men’s lacrosse head coach Marty Ward. Here’s what you need to know; Because this team is new to Polk County they will be flexible with the player’s schedules for practice to ensure limited conflict with fall sports.
