Brody Sauers’ speed helped get the transition game working for Timber Creek
Trinity Prep jumped out fast with a goal by Adam Hale on the opening possession. Trinity Prep had Timber Creek on their heels for most of the first quarter unit Nate Gillan scored twice for Timber Creek and the Wolves took a slim 2-1 lead into the break.
Timber Creek scored twice in the second quarter with Steve Torres and Bruce Preeschl each find the net. Possessions favored the Saints as sophomore John Michael Night proved to be tough to beat at the face-off X.
The Wolves scored four in the third quarter finding their grove on offense and a relentless ride made it difficult for the Saints to get their own offense working. Preeschl scored two more in the third quarter and Mike McAllister and Brock St. John each added one. Night scored once for the Saints in the third.
Preeschl scored his fourth goal of the game during the fourth quarter as Torres, Gillan, and Austin Herborn each added another. Sai Kumar scored for the Saints and Adam Hale took a late face off right down the gut of Timber Creeks defense and potted a late goal for the Saints.
Timber Creek moves to 4-2 with the win and will face Hagerty (2-4) and Boone (3-1) in a big week coming up. Trinity falls to 3-2 and will play Colonial (0-4) on Monday.
