University of Miami Announces Dale Wood as Head Coach

CORAL GABLES, FL (December 1, 2014)- University of Miami has announced the appointment of Dale Wood as Head Coach of the University of Miami Men’s Lacrosse program for the 2015 season. Wood, a graduate of Babson College (Babson Park, MA) played for the Beavers as an LSM and defenseman and then played for University of Miami’s club program during law school. The U will also be adding assistant coaches to its staff prior to the season opener against the Duke club team in Coral Gables on February 6. “We are all very excited to awaken the sleeping giant that is Hurricanes lacrosse,” said Wood. “We have a very talented team, with the right guidance; the U will take its rightful place as a contender within the MCLA.” Wood previously coached at Pine Crest School and Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale along with several travel club programs. Wood continues to play for the Fort Lauderdale Flamingos Masters club team.
