Wellington Goes To 2-0 With Win Over American Heritage

Photo courtesy of Photos by Gene The Wellington Wolverines improved their record to 2-0 by defeating the American Heritage in the Stallions’ season debut under Coach Jeff Goldberg.  The Wolverines were led by junior attackman Patrick Oporto (3 goals, 4 assists) and Jason D’Aoust (Saint Leo) with 3 goals 2 assists.  Wolverine middie Kevin Burch added 2 goals for the Wolverines. Leading the Stallions were Wellington transfer Thomas Oporto (3 goals 3 assists) and Chase Skorupa ( 3 goals) Outstanding defensive play for the Wolverines by Bryce Dalton (Brevard), Chris Englert and goalie Logan Masta were key in the win. The Stallions defense was led by Mike Hall and Patrick O’Hanlon as well as outstanding play by goalie Marco Olortegui.
