I’ll be working on my story later today so here is Wells Dusenbury’s article to start.  We used our own photo for this.   Video Interviews After The Game   Usually when St. Thomas Aquinas records a shutout, it’s the school’s vaunted football team doing the damage. On Tuesday night, the defending state champion boys lacrosse team put on a defensive performance for the ages, shutting out Oxbridge 8-0 to advance to Friday’s regional finals. Aquinas (18-1) will face Miami Gulliver Prep, who on Tuesday topped Belen Jesuit 9-8 in overtime to advance. “We felt all year that our defense was disrespected in a sense,” St. Thomas coach Terry Crowley said. “They weren’t as heralded as they have been in the past. Our offense got a lot of press … (but the defense) had an opportunity to showcase on a big stage. They’re big strong, athletic kids and they did a great job.” The shutout was the first in the five-year program history for Oxbridge (16-5). Jimmy Harrington and Michael Costello helped pace the Raider offense, each scoring two goals. Senior David Madril, in his first year as the team’s starting goalie, recorded 15 saves. “David’s been getting better each game,” said Crowley. “Tonight, he just showed it.
