The Ponte Vedra Sharks finished off their District 5 schedule on the road with a resounding 10-3 win over the Creekside Knights. The two teams played nearly even in the first half with a score of 4-2 at the break.  But the Sharks went on a scoring spree in the second half to pull away from the Knights. Running the final score to 10-3. Leading the Sharks in scoring were Cody Legeza with 3 goals, 2 assists, Scott Applegate with 3 goals and Dalton LeMaster with 2 goals. The Knights could not break through the defense led by Fischer Anderson, Nick Buckley and Alex Filippi. Goalie Ryan Applegate recorded 3 saves during the game. Ponte Vedra defeated district opponents Bartram Trail, Nease and Creekside by a combined score of 39-5 and improved their overall record to 6-1. Ponte Vedra (6-1) travels to Winter Park (4-3) next Tuesday. Creekside (5-3) hosts Nease (4-2) on Tuesday.
